This collection was inspired by the repeat patterns of antique Irish crochet lace. This was a source of revenue and a popular past-time in the famine years of the 19th century in Ireland. This type of lace is characterised by separately crocheted motifs, which were later assembled into a mesh background.
This handcrafted necklace, is made from 925 sterling silver.
There are three flowers attached to a belcher chain which echos the curves of the flower petals.
They are formed together at a slight angle to sit nicely on the neckline in a gentle arc.
Each flower measures 2cm across approx. The total width of the floral element is 6cm approx.
The necklace is 17.5 inches long approx.
